For me there’s no better feeling than growing alongside my clients. I chose branding because of the opportunity to build lasting connections, to help people bring their passion to life and to support them in sharing it with the world!

I grew up in Winnipeg and spent most of my 20’s living and working in other provinces, countries and continents. One thing that was a constant for me throughout those years and even my early teens is that I ALWAYS had a camera in hand! From disposables, to point and shoots and finally my beloved Sony camera.

I’ve taken my lifelong passion and turned it into a career that I’m obsessed with! I have found a place to call home here in Calgary and have re-built my business - from experience - in a new city!

I WAS PULLED TO THE BRANDING WORLD RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING!
I worked with a wellness brand within my first month of starting my business and after that I just couldn’t get enough. I found it so thrilling and empowering to be helping other businesses like mine thrive. Capturing the milestones in their careers and supporting them in making a lasting impact on the world.
After 6+ years of working with hundreds of different brands, I have had the chance to support so many incredible humans. I am so inspired by the people they are, the things they’ve done and the brands they’ve created. I COME FROM A BACKGROUND WHERE DOING THE PRACTICAL THING IS THE ONLY WAY.
To say I am the black sheep of the family is an understatement. I'm the big dreamer, the one who is in constant search of something more, always chasing my next adventure and the one who wears my heart on my sleeve.
Growing up my fear was not being able to live my life the way that I wanted to. I wanted to pave my own way and well... I did! That’s why I named my business Detoured Creative.

I went off-path, took the road less traveled and despite it not always being easy, I am in the process of creating a life beyond my wildest dreams.
Ultimately, I believe I was destined to be an entrepreneur and that's why I am so in love with constantly being surrounded by other business owners like you!
